Welcome to Hudson Heritage Quilters!
St. Croix Valley of Wisconsin and Minnesota area quilters gathering for inspiration, motivation and education. Meetings are held the 3rd Saturday of the month at 9:30 a.m. at Hudson Hospital, 205 Stageline Rd., in the conference rooms. Visitors at our meetings are asked to pay $5 to help support the cost of our programs.
Meetings include speakers (quilt and pattern designers, authors, shop owners, etc.), show and tell, along with a short business meeting. Guests and new members are encouraged to visit.
A variety of charity quilting opportunities are published in our bi-monthly newsletter. These include Comfort Quilters, a group that meets regularly at the Warren Town Hall in Roberts, WI to make quilts for a number of local charities; We Do Feet, an outreach program associated with one of the local churches; Project Linus; Quilts of Valor; and Teen Parent Services, a program with the Minneapolis Public Schools. In addition, our members collect fabric and batting scraps to be made into dog and cat beds that are donated to local animal shelters.
Our members also create a large quilt that is raffled off at our bi-annual quilt show with proceeds going to local food shelves.
Biennial Quilt Show
Our guild hosts a biennial quilt show in November of odd numbered years. It is an opportunity for members to display their work to the community. Ribbons are awarded in a number of categories by viewer’s choice. Click for more information on the upcoming show.
